Timeout and Self Care must be priority in order to sustain energy levels and prevent burnout. Balance, balance, balance. I hear many people complaining about having no time over the past few weeks. The collective energy of the whole world is at high speed at the moment which can make us feel like we are on a super fast hamster wheel.
Today I can go into fear and worry about tomorrow. I can focus on what if's, I can'ts and I am not able thoughts. I can look at yesterday and dwell on the many mistakes I've made. I can do nothing to change.
A week in my job is varied from the new clients who are in a lot of pain, sometimes physically as well as emotionally/mentally to clients who are really starting to feel good and then the clients who are ready to leave therapy.
Like everything, Spirituality has a shadow side, a side that is not talked about so much. I think everyone on the Spiritual path can relate to times in their lives that they used Spirituality to avoid pain.
